tuneint On a standard tuned guitar (EADGBe) each string is a distance of a perfect 4th (5 semitones/frets) away from the next string. The one exception is that the G to B string are relative to each other by a major 3rd (4 fret distance). Standard tuning originated from Spanish guitar styles.
